 Harmful constituents
- Nicotine: The most popular constituent present in the cigarette is a disaster for our body as it’s particularly hard on  heart, as it increases heart rate while constricting the arteries, leading to higher blood pressure and hardening of the arteries. It is also used for manufacturing insecticides and is the reason smoking is difficult to quit.
- Cadmium:Used in batteries.
- Arsenic: Poison.
- Methanol : Used in rockets as a fuel.
- Methane : Sewer gas.
- Ammonia: Toilet cleaner.
- Toluene: Industrial solvent.
- Stearic Acid:Candle wax
- Butane: Lighter fluid
- Acetic Acid
- Carbon Monoxide
- Butane
- and many more.
Metals are one of the most harmful components present in the cigarette as their continuous exposure to the body can cause many problems.
 Metals in cigarette
- Lead:  Causes high blood pressure, nerve disorders, muscle pain and even fertility problems.
- Copper: Chronic exposure of this metal to the body can cause build up in the kidneys resulting in any kidney disease.
- Mercury: Chronic exposure is known to cause adverse effects on mood, behavior and memory. More specifically, irritability, tiredness, sleeplessness, tremors and damage to the nerves in the arms and legs.
- Aluminum: Chronic exposure can cause, shortness of breath, weakness, and cough. Shortness of breath causes unhappiness and chaos in the mind.
